A New Type of Headache

As of yesterday, I have been taking L-Lysine for three weeks and Olive Leaf Extract and Quercetin for two weeks. I ran out of my previous olive leaf, so yesterday I switched to a different product. The kind I chose has 250mg of extract standardized to 20% oleuropein plus 235mg whole leaf in each capsule, and I am still taking two capsules two times per day.

Yesterday I also started Lauricidin. I had taken it previously, last fall, but only for about two months and it didn’t seem to do anything. I’m trying it again in hopes that taking it for a longer period of time and combining it with other supplements will do the trick. I’m taking one scoop twice per day.

On to the main reason I am writing this post... this afternoon I started to have a very unusual headache and have had it come and go all day. I even took a two hour nap and it still did not go away. The pain is more akin to what you might feel with a head injury than a headache, but it wasn’t there when I woke up so I am pretty sure I did not injure myself in my sleep or anything. It kind of feels like I was hit on the top of the head with a hammer. Basically, my entire skull hurts starting at the top of the head and radiating out through the rest of my head, including the sides of my face and my jaw.

I usually don’t get headaches, especially not like this, and not for this long of duration. The pain kind of ebbs and flows; on a 1-5 scale it goes between a 2 and a 4. I am thinking it might be some kind of herxheimer reaction. Who knows. I'm going to ask on the HHV6 Forum if anybody else has had a similar reaction to antiviral treatment.
