ViraStop Side Effects?

I've had to reduce the ViraStop down from ten per day (divided into four doses). I believe it was causing me to have upset stomachs and some other adverse gastrointestinal side effects. Unlike some of my other reactions, I believe this is a direct side effect rather than a "die-off" type of reaction.

Enzymedica, the maker of ViraStop, has this to say regarding side effects:

Enzymes typically have a larger percentage of positive effects than negative side effects. The most common negative effect is an upset stomach on the use of large amounts of proteolytic enzymes, typically anything greater that 100,000 HUT. This is easily relived through either the discontinuation of the products or beginning an even lower dosage that is tolerable and slowly building up the potency. Under clinical use, some kind of positive results are gained 70-90% of the time. No death of a patient has ever been attributed to the use of supplemental enzymes in any quantity.

So they're saying 100,000 HUT can cause upset stomach, yet just one capsule of ViraStop has 150,000 HUT. That means that my previous morning and night doses were 450,000 HUT and my daily totals 1,500,000 HUT. No wonder I had an upset stomach! I'll try taking only four per day for awhile and see how that goes. While that is the dosage they recommend, they also say, "more capsules may be added as needed." Not really sure what that means.
