For several weeks my herxheimer reaction type symptoms had faded away and I thought that they were pretty much gone completely. Interestingly, over the past week they've come back. It seems they come in go in cycles lasting 5 days or so.
Fortunately they are not as severe as before, but they are present nonetheless. I get headaches very easily, and pain in my face and jaw. My jaw pops all the time especially when I'm chewing (that one is really interesting because I had jaw popping when I first got sick, for about 6-12 months, then never had it again for the entire 10 year stage of "steady state" CFS). My other joints crack when I move around too. Even that tapping sound in one ear came back! It's weird how everything almost completely went away for awhile and came back. I haven't changed my treatment during this time.
I hope this is a sign that my treatment is continuing to fight off the virus or whatever is wrong with me. I will gladly put up with these symptoms for several months if it means I won't have CFS for 10 more years.
